1. Agreement to Terms
These Terms of Use ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the First Chapter Studio website at firstchapterstudio.com (the "Website") and our applications, including MiniMemo, Help the Monster, and KidBiz (the "Apps"). By accessing the Website or using an App, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use our Website or Apps.
2. Who Can Use Our Products
Our Apps are intended to be set up and managed by a parent or legal guardian on behalf of their family. If you are under 18, you may only use our Apps under the supervision and account of a parent or guardian. By creating an account, you confirm that you are a parent, guardian, or otherwise authorized to manage a family account.
3. Our Apps
MiniMemo, Help the Monster, and KidBiz are separate products offered under the First Chapter Studio brand. Each App may have its own features, availability, and in-app terms, which these Terms incorporate by reference. Apps marked "in development" are not yet publicly available, and features described on this Website are subject to change prior to launch.
4. Downloads & App Stores
Our Apps are made available for download through the Apple App Store and Google Play, where applicable. Your use of those platforms is also subject to the respective platform's own terms of service. This Website does not process purchases, payments, or subscriptions directly.
5. Your Content
You retain ownership of the content you or your family create within our Apps, such as calendar entries, tasks, photos, and notes ("Your Content"). You grant First Chapter Studio a limited license to store, sync, and display Your Content solely for the purpose of operating the App features you use. We do not claim ownership of Your Content and do not use it for advertising.
6. Acceptable Use
You agree to use our Website and Apps only for their intended, lawful purposes. You agree not to:
- Attempt to gain unauthorized access to another family's account or data.
- Use the Apps to store or share content that is unlawful, abusive, or infringes on others' rights.
- Reverse-engineer, disrupt, or interfere with the operation of our Website or Apps.
- Use our products in any way that could harm children or violate applicable child-protection laws.
7. Intellectual Property
The First Chapter Studio name, logo, and app brands (including MiniMemo, Help the Monster, and KidBiz), along with the Website's design, text, and graphics, are the property of First Chapter Studio and may not be copied, reproduced, or used without our prior written permission.
8. Availability & Changes
We may update, modify, or discontinue features of our Website or Apps at any time, including apps currently listed as "in development." We'll do our best to communicate material changes that affect your account or data.
9. Disclaimer of Warranties
Our Website and Apps are provided "as is" and "as available." While we work hard to keep our products reliable and secure, we do not guarantee that they will be uninterrupted, error-free, or fit for every particular purpose.
10. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, First Chapter Studio is not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Website or Apps. Nothing in these Terms limits any liability that cannot be limited under applicable law.
